Artist's Statement

I am a Chicago-based artist whose work spans various media, but basically falls into 3 categories: paintings, mixed media and note cards.

My main interest is in color and design. Architecture fascinates and inspires me, as well as many elements of nature, mostly skies and water. I find the strength and shapes of man-made structures exciting, especially modern buildings against an interesting sky and designs made by light and shadows. When working on collages, strong, contrasting colors interesting shapes and a variety of textures are what I strive for in my finished work.
